Hello! I was nicknamed “Sunny” by some very good friends when I was in my early 30s, during a very challenging time in my life. As I embraced my new name day by day, I slowly began to believe in myself again and to “be” my name. I accepted my uniqueness and allowed myself to be the full spectrum of who I felt I was, far beyond the events that had partially shaped me. Over time, and out of the ashes, my Inner Phoenix was reborn, even more vivid and colorful than her prior plumage.
This was a sacred gift, a gift I wish to share with others.For many women there is a deep longing to be our core essence ~ the essence of love. We wish to experience love in an undefended way, and yet the wounds of our past often prevent us from freely giving and receiving love. This often leaves us with a hopelessness and resignation, where the deepest layers of our hearts remain shut down to ourselves and others. Through the experience of transformational healing, we can trust our natural feminine radiance and communicate our desires and needs in a loving, clear, and authentic way. When we are fully present to our true selves, we can give and accept love with confidence and grace. Women also deeply value beauty in their surroundings. Yet we often find ourselves not sure how to create a personal environment that reflects who we really are. How do we create a space that makes us feel good? How do we translate our own innate constellation of well being into an outer picturing of color, texture, sound, and space? During my early years as a single Mom on a shoestring budget, I learned how to make even the ugliest, tiniest space a beautiful reflection of myself that nourished me every day. And I did it mostly with items I already had and became a thrift store groupie. Friends began to ask me to help them create that in their homes, and Zen On a Dime was born. My gift is deeply accessing what a person wants, and helping them create a personal sacred space that brings them joy, peace, and beauty.
