I have served as a professional copy writer and editor for more than 10 years. Newly landed in Santa Barbara from Los Angeles, publishing was my first career. I was selected from more than 100 applicants after passing a stringent copy editing test for an esteemed educational publishing company and enjoyed several happy years there. Seeking independent good fortune, I ventured on my own and became a successful freelance copy writer and editor. I managed numerous freelance marketing projects for a wide variety of local companies, and enjoyed being a contributing writer to several local magazines. I was also fortunate to serve as a proofreader for the community’s most popular local entertainment weekly newspaper.
